Pro : Close to everything in NYC, yet quiet and romantic. Loved the fresh flowers in the room and the candles.
Con : The restaurant was very pricey. $27 for breakfast! The hotel was very centrally located. A couple of blocks from Grand Central, Times Square, Rockefeller Center, yet the street was very quiet. The room was very nicely appointed - comfortable beds, clean, nice storage. Loved the glass shower, fresh flower in the bathroom. Even a candle, which was nice, but probably a little dangerous. When we arrived in our room, the radio was set to a classical music station. Even had turn down service in the evening - turned the bed down, turned on some lights and had the music playing again.

Con : A little outdated. I think this is a very good hotel if you are staying with kids. I took 2 teenagers and they loved it. We were able to walk right outside in Times Square and they could stay up and hang out in the lounge and restaurants safely until late at night. We all LOVED the rotating restaurant upstairs. If I were traveling alone, I would have gone to the higher end restaurant part - but since I had the boys with me, we ate at the buffet offered at the view and it was perfect.

Con : Restaurant not actually connected to hotel. Everything about the hotel was excellent, however... it's beyond me how a top hotel like this one still has the nerve to charge $14.00 per night for internet, when much lesser hotels provide it for free.

Con : It was old and not as clean as I expected. The hotel is really well located and near to a lot of attractions and subway station. The in room kitchen is an excellent idea and worked really well for us.
